The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-orHe reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums that mop vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a high price tag but has a variety of smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot vacuum cleaner reviews comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting pet hair. It was able capture a lot of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a hassle when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot hoover and mop vacuum that can be found in our test, but it also has distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner and mop emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
