In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best inexpensive robot vacuum choice is probably hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people but it can aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the best vacuums on the market - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuum Cleaner amazon vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move, however.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
